From the hundreds who applied, Cagayan de Oro has proven dominance in the beauty contests as four candidates for the Binibining Pilipinas 2014 are from the City of Golden Friendship, namely Binibini #34 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach (a.k.a. Pia Romero) who finished as 1st runner up in 2013, Binibini #26 Laura Victoria Lehmann, Binibini #11 Angelique Celine de Leon and #6 Ellore Noelle Punzalan. The announcement was done last January 17 at Gloria Maris Banquet Hall. The Binibining Pilipinas 2014 Grand Coronation Night will be held on March 30,2014 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
