CDO “Top Performing City” Despite of Sendong
Cagayan de Oro continued it economic rise regardless the devastation caused by Typhoon Sendong (TS Washi). The report sent by the Bureau of Local Government Finance coursed through the Honorable City Mayor Vicente "Dongkoy" Emano announcing CDO as the Top Performing City in the region.
The detailed report states that Cagayan de Oro City came through and leveled up above the rest after collecting P332.1M in business taxes; P71.2M in fees and charges; and P30.7M in economic enterprises.
“Dako kining garbo ug dungog sa dakbayan kay bisan man tuod og nakasinati kita og mapa-it nga katalagman, apan nakabangon ra gihapon ang dakbayan ug naangkon kini nga kadungganan,” the City Mayor said.
