Carlo Paalam won the gold medal at the recent ASBC Asian Elite Championship in Amman, Jordan last November 12, 2022. In the men's 54-kilogram bantamweight finals, the 24-year-old Paalam defeated Kazakhstan's Makhmud Sabyrkhan 4-1 on a split decision.
