Where to Eat Suman and Sikwate at Centrio Mall?

Bulad, Suka, Sili, Sikwate… Sikwate. This famous bisrock song popularized by Junior Kilat is a great reflection of the Visayas-Mindanao food culture. Sikwate is not anymore new to me. Growing up, this hot choco is a common breakfast drink during the weekends. You may have also seen your grannies picked those cacaos from the backyard, lay them to the sun for 5 days and turn them to tableas. By the way, Tablea is the spanish translation of the word tablet.

Sikwate!
Sikwate!

Early this year during the rainy season, WOWCDO.com was hunting for a Hot Choco to drink and after roaming around Centrio Mall for an hour, we finally found a place to drink Sikwate.

Guess where? Kenya Kaffe!

This cafe is located inside Rustans Fresh CDO and near the Centrio Cinemas. Kenya Kaffe offers kenyan-blended coffee, frappes, fusion menu and selected native delicacies. Of course, Filipino delicacies are also within reach. The cozy ambiance of the store felt homey. You wouldn’t know you have been there for a long time chatting with your special somebody. The sikwate was just perfect for the scenario added with Muscovado sugar. Sweet!

Well, who would expect to have sikwate at Centrio Mall?
