Professional developers, tech enthusiast and graduating IT students gathered last April 5 at Cleversoft Inc. for the DevCon CDO Geek Up in Cagayan de Oro. It was an event for the local IT developer scene graced by top caliber speakers in their industry. The event was opened by Haifa Carina Baluyos, DevCon’s Executive Director. Todd Grannis, CEO at Cleversoft Inc., introduced Cleversoft and the opportunities it can give to people who excel in the I.T field. Michael Jones Sia, Manager at Gaisano-Interpace Computer Systems also shared his experiences and his vision to the tech industry in the city.
Cris John Tagupa, Web Developer at Syntactics, Inc. talked about the “Trends in Web Development” while Lionel Amarado, General Manager at Innovative Web Technologies shared his knowledge on “mxGraph – Javascript Library for Creating Interactive Diagrams”. Arthur Vincent Simon, a Freelancer Web Developer closed the night with the “Introduction to Twitter Bootstrap”.
The tech scene in Cagayan de Oro has really a big potential with the pool of talents we have, definitely, the scene is just starting up.
