Envisioned to be one of the most prestigious running events in the Philippines, Pryce Gases, Inc. will be holding its 3rd international marathon on December 14 at the scenic Pryce Garden, Uptown Cagayan de Oro.
Race Categories
Pryce Gas will be giving a total of Php 1M in cash and raffle prizes on the race date. They’ve opened 3 races for everyone to enjoy and compete:
- 5Km Race, with Php 400 as the race fee, will receive P400 inclusive of Jersey, Race Bib with Timing Chip, and Slingbag.
- 21Km or their half race, P800 as the registration fee, is inclusive of Jersey, Race Bib with Timing Chip, Slingbag, Finisher’s Shirt, and Medal.
- 42Km, P1,500 full race fee, is inclusive of Jersey, Race Bib with Timing Chip, Slingbag, Finisher’s Shirt, Medal, and Carbo-loading Dinner 2 days prior to the race.
Both 21 Km and the 5 Km race are open to all Filipinos. International racers can only join the 42 Km. This is one the time that Kagay-anons will be able to witness Kenyan runners competing in the streets of Cagayan de Oro City. Champions from the past race will also compete on the 14th with the inclusion of Mary Joy Tabal, the reigning marathon champion.
Race Route
The challenging course will take participants from the Pryce Gardens in uptown CDO, weaving their way down the city, passing through Pryce Plaza Hotel, before slicing through the heart of the city via Rodelsa Circle Rotunda and Don A. Velez St., going all the way to Agusan, and back up to Pryce Gardens for the finish.

Proceeds of this event will go to the Xavier University Alumni Association – PryceGas Scholarship Program. To date, 3 students have graduated from this program.
Race Director Francis Velasquez, the Circle Productions and Pryce Gases, Inc. during the race press conference also added that this race continues to their advocacy of promoting wellness in the City of Golden Friendship as well as tourism industry highlighting that this will invite more people to go to adventure attractions around the Metro. Security and the welfare of the racers is also their top priority tapping the LGU and the authorities to assist the race.
