Cagayan de Oro City was rocked by 2 teen icons, Ella Cruz and Jasmine Curtis-Smith, as they visited Limketkai Center Rotunda for their Gibi Fun Day leg in Mindanao.
Founded in 1984, Gibi Shoes has been making quality shoes since 1984. Boasting with over 20 years of shoe making this brand has been dubbed as the shoe brand for all seasons and occasions. They’ve started with school shoes and now making a curve and joining the scene of fashionable shoe brands. They’ve also ventured to pretty heels other than the casuals you see in their stores around Mindanao.
WOWCDO together with a few CDO Bloggers were given the chance to do a quick chit-chat with the ladies prior to the mall show. Here are some of the highlights of the interview.
Why would you recommend Gibi to the young ladies?
Jasmine: The biggest misconception for Gibi is their image with school shoes, now they have a full range range of shoes, branching out to different styles. Check out the range of their heels and take note.
Aside from comfort, why do you need to get a Gibi shoes?
Jasmine: “It’s really to support the local industry. Support whatis made by Filipinos. It is still made in Marikina.”
How do you keep up with the busy lifestyle?
Jasmine: “Go with the flow. Go to work, I do it. Ella is much busy than me. I have an easy workload and remain relatively normal even though my work hours are not normal.”
How do you take care of your shoes?
Jasmine: “Well I make sure that I store it a place na hindi ma-we-wear out yung material. You have to constantly clean it also.”
On the lighter note, with Sam Concepcion.
Jasmine: “I think the love will never go away naman talaga. When you love someone, it will always be there in your heart. Di mo naman matatangal yun. You will never know what’s gonna happen.”
Do you still go out to malls with friends?
Jasmine: “Yes, I still get to be with friends sa malls. I still wanted to be seen as a normal person.”
What’s your favorite Gibi shoes?
Ella: “Ang Sneaker wedge.”
Jasmine: “I love their flats with soft soles inside.”
Why would you recommend Gibi?
Ella: “Super tibay ng Gibi.” “Gamit gamit ko shoes from 1st year high school to middle of 4th year and sa work.” “Perfect sa mga occasions.”
How do you inform your audience about the new designs of Gibi?
Ella: “Buti nga may social media na ngayon. We post them sa Instagram.”
Jasmine: “Social Media is very helpful. They can incorporate it the shoes with their outfits.”
