From a small sari-sari store, change is now realized in the lives of the Sendong Survivors from Xavier Ecoville. Xavier Ecoville is a resettlement community for TS Sendong survivors located in Brgy. Lumbia, Cagayan de Oro. It is mainly assisted by Xavier University – Ateneo de Cagayan , the community, the local government, donors and valued partners to form an independent or self-sustaining community. Today, the community’s multi-purpose cooperative (XEMPCO) has 6 major enterprises which include the sewing enterprises run by women from Xavier Ecoville producing quality and stylish bags for livelihood.
