Meet Shugah of WanderShugah.com

Bloggers as architects of the internet. We connect the internet.

We get out of our comfort zone to tell you the stories that need to be heard. It could be a personal adventure or a commercial stint, we’re there. We capture these moments, open our computers and let our fingers do the work.

Meet Shugah, a travel blogger who travelled almost all the 81 provinces of the Philippines.

For me, it’s remarkable officially wandering around the Philippines and perfectly documenting it on wandershugah.com, her humble travel blog.

Two years ago I had the chance to travel with her to Metro Manila to cover a product launch. I threw tons of questions to her as I was curious about how she has all the time to do all these things. She was game in answering those questions (even the details were revealed). I can see it through her eyes that she was passionate about exploring, wandering and travelling. She was indeed WanderShugah!

Earlier this month, I learned that Shugah was diagnosed with a Stage 3 Cervical Cancer.

In the Philippines, cervical cancer is the second most diagnosed cancer for women. The Manila Bulletin also reported that half a million Filipinas are diagnosed with this type of cancer yearly.

It was such a devastating news for me the Philippine blogging community. For me, Shugah was one travel blogger worth emulating expressing who she was through every word written on her blog. I can’t imagine a kind person to experience this. No one should suffer to this.

She started getting treatment in mid of September and we all know that this would cost a hefty amount of money.

A campaign page has been set up aimed to raise funds for her treatment. Let’s support this summer girl blogger wander the Philippines. Please consider donating on Shugah’s GoGetFunding page here.

Aside from this, please include her on your prayers for a speedy recovery.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Vic
