Based from a book, The Vagina Monologues is an episodic play written by Eve Ensler that talks about the female sexuality in all its complexity and gives us the real stories of intimacy, vulnerability and sexual discovery. VDay Cagayan de Oro 2014 and Pagbantog-Kagayan brings The Vagina Monologues in Cagayan de Oro. All proceeds will go to the VDay Movement against violence on women and girls, and the women's recovery & livelihood projects for the survivors of Typhoon Yolanda and the Visayas earthquake. Four Bb. Pilipinas 2014 Candidates from CDO

From the hundreds who applied, Cagayan de Oro has proven dominance in the beauty contests as four candidates for the Binibining Pilipinas 2014 are from the City of Golden Friendship, namely Binibini #34 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach (a.k.a. Pia Romero) who finished as 1st runner up in 2013, Binibini #26 Laura Victoria Lehmann, Binibini #11 Angelique Celine de Leon and #6 Ellore Noelle Punzalan. The announcement was done last January 17 at Gloria Maris Banquet Hall. The Binibining Pilipinas 2014 Grand Coronation Night will be held on March 30,2014 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. Havaianas: A Pair for A Pair [Photos]

Last holiday season, the Spruce Designer Network Inc. Main Office was flocked by Havaianaticos who replied to the call of Spruce to donate their Havaianas pair for another pair. The Havaianas flip-flops donated during the event will be given to the Yolanda survivors. As people lined up to donate and choose a pair, they were also entertained by kids playing different musical intruments and the Xavier University Glee Club.
